Submersible pumps Fountain pumps Aquaponics

The selection of the right submersible Pump depends on a variety of factors. On the one side the size of the pond is essential, on the other side the field of application plays an important role. Do you want to operate a pond filter system? Is there a waterfall or a stream run? Do you wish to have a pond skimmer or a water ornament as for example a little fountain nozzle kit or the like? Apart from that, a submersible pump should operate as efficiently as possible with regard to energy, so that unnecessary energy costs can be avoided. In most cases, the pump works throughout the whole year and round the clock so that you should take into consideration to acquire the most energy-saving pump when it comes to selecting the right one. The capacity of the pump must be necessarily adjusted to the size of the pond. Any over sized flow rate will result in an overflow of the pond which is to be prevented at all costs. We at our store have in stock a wide range of submersible pumps used for aquariums, hydroponic systems, fountains, circulation units, coolers, cooling systems etc. The range starts from 4 watts and goes upto 700 watts. Comparing a small 60W pond pump to a monoblock 0.5HP (Horsepower) pump involves considering factors like their capacity, power usage, and intended applications. Here's a comparison of the two: Power Consumption: A 60W pond pump consumes significantly less power compared to a 0.5HP pump. The 0.5HP pump will typically require more electricity to operate due to its higher horsepower rating. Flow Rate and Performance: A 0.5HP monoblock pump is much more powerful and capable of moving a larger volume of water compared to a 60W pump. It is generally used for larger applications such as irrigation, supplying water to a house, or industrial purposes. The 60W pond pump is designed for smaller applications like circulating water in a small garden pond or a small decorative water feature. It has a lower flow rate and is not suitable for high-demand tasks. Application: The 60W pond pump is ideal for small decorative ponds and water features where a gentle and aesthetic water flow is desired. It's not designed for heavy-duty tasks like supplying water to households or agricultural irrigation. The 0.5HP monoblock pump is suitable for larger water transfer tasks, such as filling or draining swimming pools, agricultural irrigation, or providing water pressure for a house. Cost: Typically, the 60W pond pump will be more affordable than the 0.5HP monoblock pump due to its lower capacity and power. Noise: The 60W pond pump is generally quieter compared to the 0.5HP pump, which can produce more noise due to its larger motor and capacity. In summary, the choice between a small 60W pond pump and a 0.5HP monoblock pump depends on your specific needs and the scale of the water circulation task. If you have a small decorative pond or water feature, the 60W pond pump is likely sufficient. If you need to move a larger volume of water for irrigation, household water supply, or other heavy-duty applications, the 0.5HP monoblock pump is more suitable. It's essential to match the pump's capacity to the specific requirements of your project to ensure efficient and cost-effective water circulation.

A floating fountain can act as an aerator for bodies of water such as ponds and lakes. Aerators are devices or systems that introduce air into the water, which helps improve the oxygen levels and circulation within the water body. They are commonly used in ponds and lakes to prevent issues such as algae overgrowth, fish kills, and foul odors caused by low oxygen levels. A floating fountain can serve as an aerator in the following ways: Water Movement: The fountain's jets and sprays create movement on the water's surface, promoting the mixing of oxygen from the air with the water. This enhances the exchange of gases, allowing oxygen to dissolve into the water and carbon dioxide to be released. Air Diffusion: As the water is sprayed into the air, it breaks into droplets, exposing a larger surface area to the air. This increases the contact between water and air, facilitating the transfer of oxygen from the atmosphere into the water. Circulation: The movement generated by the floating fountain helps in circulating the water in the pond or lake. This prevents the formation of stagnant areas where oxygen depletion can occur. By maintaining adequate oxygen levels, the floating fountain aerator can support aquatic life, including fish and other organisms that require oxygen for survival. It also helps prevent the buildup of organic matter and the proliferation of harmful algae, contributing to the overall health and balance of the aquatic ecosystem. It's worth noting that the effectiveness of a floating fountain as an aerator depends on various factors, such as the size of the water body, fountain design, flow rate, and environmental conditions. In some cases, a dedicated pond aerator might be more suitable, especially for larger bodies of water with specific oxygenation requirements.

A rain gauge cylinder, also known as a rain measuring cylinder or rain gauge tube, is a cylindrical container used to collect and measure the amount of rainfall in a given area. It is one of the most common and simple devices used for measuring rainfall. The rain gauge cylinder typically consists of a transparent or semi-transparent cylindrical tube made of glass or plastic. The cylinder has a narrow opening at the top to collect rainwater and a scale marked along its side to indicate the amount of rainfall in units such as millimeters or inches. To use a rain gauge cylinder, you need to place it in an open area away from obstructions like trees or buildings, preferably at ground level. The cylinder should be positioned vertically to allow rainwater to flow into it. As rainfall occurs, the water enters the cylinder and fills it up. The scale marked on the side of the cylinder allows you to read and record the amount of rainfall collected. After each rainfall event, you should empty the rain gauge cylinder and note the recorded rainfall measurement. This practice ensures accurate measurements for subsequent rainfall events. Rain gauge cylinders are often used in meteorological stations, research institutions, and even by individuals who have an interest in monitoring local weather conditions or precipitation levels. It's worth noting that there are different types of rain gauges available, including more sophisticated electronic versions that can automatically record rainfall data. However, the basic principle of measuring rainfall using a cylinder remains the same.

Product information "SunSun CPF-20000 Pressure Pond Filter UVC 36W up to 40000l" Highlights & details • Easy maintenance via integrated cleaning function in the top cover • Ideal combination of filter and UVC technology • Integrated contamination indicator • Cleaning equipment for quick and effective cleaning • Easy and uncomplicated bio-pressure pond filter system The CPF-pressure pond filter series is among the latest generation of pond filters, combining in a compact system, a high-performance bio-mechanical filter along with the most modern UV technology. The filter is unremarkably dug in at the edge of the pond. The compact way of construction makes the pond technology almost completely disappear. Any and all connections as well as the whole field of technology are found in the top cover. The pond filter can be dug in without any problems. The pond water can be pumped to higher-located waterfalls and from this point return into the garden pond. The pressure pond filter ensures a stable, biological balance and improves the water quality. Along with the appropriate pump (not included in the supply; please note the pond pump´s maximum volume capacity), this ensures for clear water, thus creating healthy surroundings for the pond inhabitants. Operation Pressure pond filters with integrated UV unit are the combination of biological and mechanical filtration and contribute to the effectiveness by a UV-C pond clarifier. Due to their UV radiation, UVC pond clarifiers alterate the algae proteins´ tertiary and quaternary structure which causes their destruction. The algaes clump, thus forming large parts of particles that can be easily removed from the water circulation by the mechanical pond filtration of the pond filter. During the bio-mechanical cleaning microorganisms accumulate inside the filter and remove germs and bacteria from the water. By the way of mechanical filtration, floating particles and dirt remain in the pond filter and do not return into the pond water. It takes about 4–6 weeks for the filter bacteria to settle sufficiently inside the pond filter. Only then it is reasonable to make use of a UVC-pond clarifier. The so-called initial "starter bacteria" help to reduce the time for a new pond filter to start its operation. For this purpose this kind of bacteria (microorganisms) is grown in laboratories. Bacteria start being active at a temperature of approx. 10–12°C. The pond filter´s temperature should not exceed 40 °C. It is therefore advisable to place the pond filter in the shadow. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The pressure pond filter disposes of an integrated contamination indicator as well as a mechanical cleaning equipment for filter sponges, thus ensuring a quick and easy cleaning.
