A floating fountain can act as an aerator for bodies of water such as ponds and lakes. Aerators are devices or systems that introduce air into the water, which helps improve the oxygen levels and circulation within the water body. They are commonly used in ponds and lakes to prevent issues such as algae overgrowth, fish kills, and foul odors caused by low oxygen levels. A floating fountain can serve as an aerator in the following ways: Water Movement: The fountain's jets and sprays create movement on the water's surface, promoting the mixing of oxygen from the air with the water. This enhances the exchange of gases, allowing oxygen to dissolve into the water and carbon dioxide to be released. Air Diffusion: As the water is sprayed into the air, it breaks into droplets, exposing a larger surface area to the air. This increases the contact between water and air, facilitating the transfer of oxygen from the atmosphere into the water. Circulation: The movement generated by the floating fountain helps in circulating the water in the pond or lake. This prevents the formation of stagnant areas where oxygen depletion can occur. By maintaining adequate oxygen levels, the floating fountain aerator can support aquatic life, including fish and other organisms that require oxygen for survival. It also helps prevent the buildup of organic matter and the proliferation of harmful algae, contributing to the overall health and balance of the aquatic ecosystem. It's worth noting that the effectiveness of a floating fountain as an aerator depends on various factors, such as the size of the water body, fountain design, flow rate, and environmental conditions. In some cases, a dedicated pond aerator might be more suitable, especially for larger bodies of water with specific oxygenation requirements.

A three-tier fountain nozzle is a type of fountain nozzle that produces a cascading water effect in three distinct tiers or levels. It creates an aesthetically pleasing water display where water flows from one tier to another, creating a visually appealing and soothing effect. The three-tier fountain nozzle achieves its effect through a combination of water pressure and carefully designed nozzle openings. Here's a general explanation of how it works: Water Supply: The fountain is connected to a water supply system, such as a pump or a pressurized water source, which provides the necessary water pressure to operate the fountain. Nozzle Design: The three-tier fountain nozzle is specifically designed with multiple levels or tiers. It typically consists of a central nozzle surrounded by outer tiers or rings. Each tier has its own set of nozzle openings. Water Pressure: The water pressure from the water supply system is directed through the nozzle openings. The pressure propels the water out of the nozzles and into the air, creating a continuous flow. Cascading Effect: The design of the nozzle openings on each tier determines the shape and direction of the water streams. As the water shoots out of the nozzles, it forms distinct arcs or jets that fall gracefully from one tier to the next. Water Recycling: Typically, the water that falls from the upper tiers is collected in a basin or reservoir at the base of the fountain. From there, it is recirculated back to the water supply system through a pump, creating a continuous cycle. The specific design and configuration of the three-tier fountain nozzle may vary depending on the manufacturer and the desired effect. Some fountains may also incorporate lighting effects or adjustable water flow to further enhance the visual appeal. Overall, the three-tier fountain nozzle achieves its stunning effect by combining water pressure, carefully designed nozzle openings, and a cascading water flow, resulting in a beautiful and captivating display of moving water.

Fountains float on the surface of the water and shoot water into the air creating a fantastic display, and most times they even have lights attached to enhance the experience at night. They truly enhance the pond atmosphere and cancel out traffic noise and do turn some air into the pond. They are very good at forcing floating debris, algae, and plants like duckweed to the edges of the pond where they can be more easily removed/treated. Irrigation ponds left unmanaged can lose 1-5 inches or 2.5-5 centimeters of storage capacity a year due to sludge build-up and cause clogged pumps and irrigations systems. High nutrient levels in irrigation ponds can also lead toward turf damage, while poor water quality will often lead toward foul odors, fish kills, unsightly aquatic algae and weeds.

If you thought your fountain was impressive during the day, just wait until the streams of water reflect the light and create bright and colorful shapes in the night. Water Aeration One of the most useful benefits of having a fountain installed in your pond or lake is the occurrence of aeration. Aeration is the process of increasing the amount of dissolved oxygen in a body of water. Keeping your lake or pond aerated is extremely beneficial to the health of your water. This is especially true if you have fish in your water; they need to oxygen to survive. Aeration also prevents the development of organic matter that can build up in your water. Remember that your body of water is an ecosystem, and it requires a healthy balance to thrive. Noise Mitigation Another wonderful quality associated with lake fountains is the soothing sound created by the steady flow of water. There is a profound serenity that overcomes a person when they allow such sounds to soothe and relax them. The water splashes continuously on the lake’s surface, mitigating surrounding noises that may be distracting. This is especially beneficial if your lake or pond is near a street or other noisy area. Once you hear the sounds of your new lake fountain, you will see that your outdoor scene is finally complete. Make the most of the lake or pond on your property. Allow a beautiful lake fountain to transform your scene. With the wide ranges of styles and designs, you are sure to find the right fountain to complement your space. You (and your fish) will be pleased with the increased health of your water, and the soothing sounds will enhance the entire atmosphere. As beneficial as lake fountains are, they’re almost necessary!

ECA is round pellet structure produced by firing natural clay at temperature of 1200°C. The result is a hard, honeycombed structure of interconnecting voids within the aggregate. The particles formed are rounded in shape and generally range in size from 0-30mm; these are processed to the required grading, depending on the final use. ECA is an extremely light weight, strong and thermally insulating material. ADVANTAGES PREVENTS ROOT ROT Another result of increased Oxygen levels and improved drainage is that aerobic (air breathing) bacteria populations remain strong which keep the disease causing anaerobic (non air breathing) bacteria at bay. PROVIDES PHYSICAL STABILITY When growing outdoors with a lightweight media such as coco pit etc., , blending some ECA into the mix will give planters the extra weight they need to resist getting knocked over by wind, rain or small animals. REDUCES WATERING REQUIREMENTS & WATER EVAPORATION By top dressing your pots and planters with a one to two inch layer of ECA evaporative losses are reduced which effectively conserves water and increases the time between watering EASY REUSE ECA can be kept for an unlimited time, without ever changing. Supplied in bags it is easy to use, store, carry and dose. BLOCKS ALGAE AND FUNGUS GNATS A top dressing of ECA also serves to block direct light from reaching the growing media which prevents problematic algae from growing on its surface. This 'dry' top dressing also deters fungus gnats from colonizing your containers with their root destroying larvae. *Environment-friendly *Non-combustible *Natural insulation *Vegetation in the roof can also help prevent UV rays *Very light, yet holds moisture
