A rain gauge cylinder, also known as a rain measuring cylinder or rain gauge tube, is a cylindrical container used to collect and measure the amount of rainfall in a given area. It is one of the most common and simple devices used for measuring rainfall. The rain gauge cylinder typically consists of a transparent or semi-transparent cylindrical tube made of glass or plastic. The cylinder has a narrow opening at the top to collect rainwater and a scale marked along its side to indicate the amount of rainfall in units such as millimeters or inches. To use a rain gauge cylinder, you need to place it in an open area away from obstructions like trees or buildings, preferably at ground level. The cylinder should be positioned vertically to allow rainwater to flow into it. As rainfall occurs, the water enters the cylinder and fills it up. The scale marked on the side of the cylinder allows you to read and record the amount of rainfall collected. After each rainfall event, you should empty the rain gauge cylinder and note the recorded rainfall measurement. This practice ensures accurate measurements for subsequent rainfall events. Rain gauge cylinders are often used in meteorological stations, research institutions, and even by individuals who have an interest in monitoring local weather conditions or precipitation levels. It's worth noting that there are different types of rain gauges available, including more sophisticated electronic versions that can automatically record rainfall data. However, the basic principle of measuring rainfall using a cylinder remains the same.

Product information "SunSun CPF-20000 Pressure Pond Filter UVC 36W up to 40000l" Highlights & details • Easy maintenance via integrated cleaning function in the top cover • Ideal combination of filter and UVC technology • Integrated contamination indicator • Cleaning equipment for quick and effective cleaning • Easy and uncomplicated bio-pressure pond filter system The CPF-pressure pond filter series is among the latest generation of pond filters, combining in a compact system, a high-performance bio-mechanical filter along with the most modern UV technology. The filter is unremarkably dug in at the edge of the pond. The compact way of construction makes the pond technology almost completely disappear. Any and all connections as well as the whole field of technology are found in the top cover. The pond filter can be dug in without any problems. The pond water can be pumped to higher-located waterfalls and from this point return into the garden pond. The pressure pond filter ensures a stable, biological balance and improves the water quality. Along with the appropriate pump (not included in the supply; please note the pond pump´s maximum volume capacity), this ensures for clear water, thus creating healthy surroundings for the pond inhabitants. Operation Pressure pond filters with integrated UV unit are the combination of biological and mechanical filtration and contribute to the effectiveness by a UV-C pond clarifier. Due to their UV radiation, UVC pond clarifiers alterate the algae proteins´ tertiary and quaternary structure which causes their destruction. The algaes clump, thus forming large parts of particles that can be easily removed from the water circulation by the mechanical pond filtration of the pond filter. During the bio-mechanical cleaning microorganisms accumulate inside the filter and remove germs and bacteria from the water. By the way of mechanical filtration, floating particles and dirt remain in the pond filter and do not return into the pond water. It takes about 4–6 weeks for the filter bacteria to settle sufficiently inside the pond filter. Only then it is reasonable to make use of a UVC-pond clarifier. The so-called initial "starter bacteria" help to reduce the time for a new pond filter to start its operation. For this purpose this kind of bacteria (microorganisms) is grown in laboratories. Bacteria start being active at a temperature of approx. 10–12°C. The pond filter´s temperature should not exceed 40 °C. It is therefore advisable to place the pond filter in the shadow. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The pressure pond filter disposes of an integrated contamination indicator as well as a mechanical cleaning equipment for filter sponges, thus ensuring a quick and easy cleaning.
