The filter is unremarkably dug in at the edge of the pond. The compact way of construction makes the pond technology almost completely disappear. Any and all connections as well as the whole field of technology are found in the top cover. The pond filter can be dug in without any problems. It takes about 4–6 weeks for the filter bacteria to settle sufficiently inside the pond filter. Only then it is reasonable to make use of a UVC-pond clarifier. The so-called initial "starter bacteria" help to reduce the time for a new pond filter to start its operation. For this purpose this kind of bacteria (microorganisms) is grown in laboratories. Bacteria start being active at a temperature of approx. 10–12°C. The pond filter´s temperature should not exceed 40 °C. It is therefore advisable to place the pond filter in the shadow. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The pressure pond filter disposes of an integrated contamination indicator as well as a mechanical cleaning equipment for filter sponges, thus ensuring a quick and easy cleaning.
